Janet Loughrey is an award-winning photographer whose subjects include gardens, plants and landscapes in the Pacific Northwest, Northeastern US and Canada. She also writes about gardening, nature and the environment.

Her work has been published in dozens of books and magazines, including local, regional and national publications. She is the author of two books and the sole photographer of “The Ann Lovejoy Handbook of Northwest Gardening.”

Janet strives to capture each subject in a unique way. All of life is fleeting, and a garden is never exactly the same from one day to the next. With her extensive background as a gardener, combined with years of honing her craft as a photographer, Janet is able to capture a flower at its peak bloom, or a garden in the best light.

With the recent advances in internet technology, Janet is currently working on building an online web store, where her images will be available for sale. Her new book, “Saratoga in Bloom” will be released in June. Check back here often for news and updates.
